Cabinet and kitchen styles

Let’s talk about the three primary  kitchen cabinet styles: traditional, modern, and transitional.

Traditional

Traditional kitchens showcase natural materials and focus on details and embellishments to accentuate individual character. The wood grain typically shows through a finish or glaze, the cabinets usually have raised panels and the accent fixtures are more ornate.

Contemporary

Contemporary, or modern, kitchens are sleek with clean lines and geometric forms. They often feature full overlay cabinets faces, congruent horizontal lines, minimalist fixtures, and most recently, dark cabinets with white countertops.

Transitional

Transitional kitchens give homeowners maximum self-expression and are exceptionally popular because of the balanced, timeless appeal.
